New today
A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.
In the link provided, it says that despite only having a few seconds of copyrighted content, you may still get claimed, and will there be any steps taken to help improve that? Also are the disputes still settled by the claimant? I think that should be the next course of action.

Also I just wanted to say that it’s great to see YouTube taking steps in the (hopefully) right direction. I’m incredibly happy to see these changes and those were just a few concerns. Thanks!
