13 years ago I left Bulgaria and came to study in Germany
At that time I was working for companies that had money coming from outside and I had a great salary. I could afford a lot of things!
When I came to Germany I got a student job that only paid for rent and food.

The thing was, that I wanted to study and work at a place that was driving the industry forward. I wanted to learn from the leaders in science.
Don't get me wrong, there are brilliant people in academia and industry in Bulgaria, but the interesting opportunities are limited

While I'm pretty happy in Germany, I know people that would prefer to go back to Bulgaria or not leave in the first place.
Only if they had better opportunities to work on innovative projects with the world leaders in the industry and academia...

This is an inspiring example for other countries. If it can happen in Bulgaria, it can happen in your country too! Many developing countries need projects like this to stop the smart people leaving

If you live in a developing country where you want to have more opportunities show this to people!
Show it to your professors, show it to your boss, show it to your government officials.
It takes an incredible amount of work to build this, so maybe you can help as well?

You can also reach out to people from your country that live abroad and see if they can help as well.
I think there are many people that wouldn't even try organizing such partnerships, because they think it is impossible. You can show them that it is not.

I'm sure projects like will help reduce the brain drain that many developing countries suffer from.
It is not enough to just bring in money from the outside. You need to make sure that people can work on world-class projects and push the state-of-the-art!
