Something I haven't seen anyone note: 2 XL's blue shift display problem is actually worse at moderate angles than extreme angles.

Looks fantastic straight on, gets worse toward 30-40°, and then gets better as you approach 90°.

As someone who praised the original Pixel for attention to details like this, it's just disappointing.

I'm honestly 100% OK with the sRGB color profile. I don't like the super saturated colors. But whites turning blue at a 30° angle irks me.

What saddens me is that Google can add Saturated Samsung™ mode but it won't change the fact that whites are kinda blue (heh) at an angle.

Problem becomes unnoticeable if you enable a dark background and use dark mode in Twitter (as you should) and never use any other app.

But obviously that's unfeasible. Blueness is here til Pixel 3. Is it a deal breaker for me personally? Nope. But it's gonna hurt OCD peeps.

Hurts though. First Pixel (despite design compromises) felt like Google was making no compromises on quality. Not the case with Pixel 2.

Could this be caused by the circular polarizer?
