    100% this. The Government is essentially planning to do something straight from the Polish or Hungarian playbook. And there go all your ridiculously confident comments that "this would never happen here," because Britain is oh so much better.

    Very sad today to learn that John Ruggie has died. Hard to squeeze into a tweet. He helped me feel welcome in his professional world, was generous with his insights and enabling in his approach, unwaveringly dedicated, and out of polarisation achieved so much with the UNGPs. RIP

    Poland not added to the green list suggests the UK government doesn't trust the numbers? Pls come clean . Very low levels of compliance for masks/social distancing etc + massive vaccine scepticism in parts of PL. But are PL's covid death stats unreliable too?
