I withdrew money from my 401k to pay off my loans... is my money going to be refunded? It’s the right argument. I saved and managed worked two jobs. But I lose because I paid mine off early, how does this make sense?

Should we decline to use new cancer treatments because some people already died and it isn't fair to them? No? Then why would we decline to improve people's lives now just because we didn't do it last decade?

This is literally people favorite response and it makes no logical sense. It’s completely a false equivalence. Those people did not choose to be there. People signed the bottom line new the cost and the rates. Pay your own debt.

If you look at the studies. The student loan forgiveness program will disproportionately benefit wealthy people such as doctors, lawyers, IVY leaguers, etc. There has to be a more effective way to help the poor get an education than eliminating all student loans.

If those people voluntarily lay on the tracks, no sense in diverting the train. The same people will simply move to the new route.

The wider point is that going to college shouldn’t be comparable to laying down on train tracks but I guess that doesn’t matter
