    Disagree. Programming languages do matter. They are tools for expression. Their implementations do matter (how strong is your hammer?). Paradigms do matter (ie you might need Prolog instead of Clojure or Go).

    Programming languages don’t matter. We all solve many of the same types of problems in diff langs and we all get paged at 3am. I can’t say between all the langs I’ve had to hop skip & jump around that any really enabled much except waste my time re-learning instead of refining
