I have committed Government to pursue all possible means to deal with income disparities, high unemployment and pockets of extreme poverty. We can only truly honour our heroes and heroines if we commit the wealth of the country they bled and died for in their children’s hands.pic.twitter.com/pJootcelDK

3 years ago I bought water pipes and have the put in the ground to have clean drinking water. I still do not have water supply. If the government is unable to give this basis necessity will it be able to do what you are advocating. I see 2019 is around.

The speech was brilliant! Yes, citizens are still experiencing poverty, unemployment, & a wider income disparity. You vowed to fight against such societal ills. With you at the helm, the Geingob Presidency has accomplished a lot in a short period. Your vision is NAM's answer! 👌

Mr President the creative economy is part of the solution because the per capita cost of providing employment is the cheapest and therefore more people can be employed. Engage the creative economy #ASSA2018

What does 'per capita cost' mean here?

The cost to create employment for one person since creating employment costs money - it costs the least per capita to create employment for someone in the creative economy compared to creating jobs in other sectors

Because they have low salaries? Or because of some other factor?

The input costs to capitalize projects in terms of overhead costs as well as costs of infrastructure and other pre-enabling factors are more in industries like manufacturing compared to the creative economy which also produces goods and services at higher returns for people

Rhetoric after rhetoric. Spare us this on twitter, and let action speaks on the ground. Start by compelling all foreign mining companies to do 30% of value additions of minerals in Namibia. and stop purging young SWAPO cdes who differ with you. Factionalism impedes development.

Leaders may deliver beautiful speeches with a flowering English, beautiful policies on papers, such is meaningless without action. Spearhead a campaign of Radical Food Production. We have arable land in Zambezi, Kavango Regions, Omusati, Kunene, right next to the rivers.
