We also need those things. Shouldn't be an either/or. Also, I think computer science is fundamentally a liberal art subject. it's broken that majority of US schools don't even offer it, even as an extracurricular.

Instead of endless fights to change *how* we teach (longer school days, smaller classrooms, more tests, less tests, charters, vouchers, etc), society needs to rethink *what* we teach: eg computer science, statistics, financial literacy, empathy, instead of outdated 1900s topics
