This brings to bear a question with an answer I’d love to hear: with no disrepect intended to anyone serving our gov’t, who among the set of all elected officals (at local, state, and federal levels) can demonstrate even a rudimentary understanding of what “coding” is???
There are more than you may think. For example Rep @jaredpolis in CO. He co-founded Blue Mountain greeting cards, served on many tech boards, co-sponsored pro-CS bills in Congress
Or Lt Gov @cyrushabib in WA who taught himself to code (as a blind teenager!), to write computer programs to convert books to braille so he could read them!
That said, basic understanding of technology should be as common as understanding photosynthesis or electricity.
