Reshma, for four years I’ve applauded teachers and said *they* deserve the credit. In fact I just spent the last few hours signing 500 thank you letters to teachers. I’m delighted with the progress they’re making and I don’t think it’s fair to call their work “incremental”
For years I’ve felt sad to hear you critique efforts to spread CS in school, claiming it hurts diversity. Now that data shows these classroom teachers are improving diversity, please recognize them. They’re teaching 10 million girls. That’s not “incremental.”

I agree. I applaud both in-school efforts and afterschool efforts. Hundreds of orgs have worked on this for decades, long before
@codeorg or girlswhocode. The diversity shift in classrooms is recent - last 4 years. And it’s thanks to teachers. We should all thank teachers.
