Here's what's misperceived, and why it's dangerous to quote facts without context: (1) That's from ~2 years ago (2) When a legislature votes, that's democracy. It usually gets the scrutiny it deserves (3) The bill failed under scrutiny, because it was a bad idea (we opposed it)

Making coding count as a foreign language was passed in Georgia and other states. It's a terrible idea, but it still happened.

A good proof point that the “power actors” who support CS aren’t thwarting democracy as alleged. This policy has received votes despite opposition by all the largest advocates for CS. Democracy isn’t perfect, but we’re lucky to live in a country run by votes.
