Additional context: (1) the dept of ed issue has a public comment period. 3/4 of ALL public comments they received on education priorities asked for even more priority on CS. (2) @codeorg has strongly opposed the $9b in cuts, which haven’t materialized.

If your narrative were correct, there would have been an outpouring of public complaints about redirecting $ to CS. Instead, the opposite happened, 3/4 of all public comments to Dept of Ed asked to prioritize CS more, because the Ed guidance fell short on this.

Like any other educator I’m just as unhappy about education cuts proposed to Congress. Those cuts appear unlikely based on Senate response. And yes there are some folks unhappy about prioritizing CS but they’re a small minority per the public comments to Ed.
