It’s clickbait hogwash. Most US schools don’t require new hardware to teach computer science. Meanwhile, of course tech companies benefit from schools teaching CS. So do all other companies. All industries need programmers, data analysts, secure networks, etc

Thank you. Caveat to my reply: if companies are pushing a proprietary tool (eg Apple Swift Playgrounds) there is more direct self-interest, to sell hardware. But most are pushing CS programs which run on existing hardware, helping everybody
