For the record THESE are orgs that "spearheaded" inclusion for girls + youth of color in tech most 6+ years ago; @BlackGirlsCode, @codenow
And I also know you don’t mean to downplay the work of our teachers and partners. 9M girls, 9M students of color.

Thanks for the followup Hadi. So this is a much more indepth and deeper conversation. But I absolutely must point out some discrepancies.

For starters I want to be clear that my comments were in reference in particular to the orgs which both stress + focus on women and PoC.

P.S. We must really also shift our conversation from raw
#s to impact. We all know that there are not 9M girls or PoC in the CS pipeline -
So although we "may" be reaching those big
#s in schools? Jury is still out in terms of if that will transfer to college + careers in tech

Now
@hadip if you guys have started to track the impact of these 9M students I'd love to see that. Even 10% of these majoring in CS -
...cont'd would be HUGE for the space. Yet I have not seen the numbers shift over four years to indicate this. This is what we should track.
