@tobinharshaw @pmarca yes, in CA it's "allowed" to count - ie the state allows it - but it doesn't, because the UC does not.
@BillSeitz @pmarca computer science is a real academic field, students can choose. In states where it's labeled as such, students do both.

@BillSeitz @pmarca because in CA it's "allowed" to county as academic - decision is the schools', but schools follow the UC which doesn't
@hadip @jtrothwell If these public schools are mainly Black or Hispanic, this is the reason and the ONLY reason why it is not counted.
