Why isn’t there a screensaver made by Google Photos? It’s already a feature of Google Home Hub, but to have the same thing on my Mac I need to download and sync the photos locally.

I don't know much about how open the screensaver system is on Mac, but we have an API that would give developers the ability to build this.

I have been surprised at how the concepts Pointcast did back in the day have not quite made it to these various “smart surfaces”. Screensaver, background on the desktop, and others. Some screens try on their own, but have limited options and often not the data that is popular.
