That explains the difference. I'm not sure it's the right methodology. If Gates Foundation is not counted as part of Melinda+Bill Gates's philanthropy, that seems wrong. And if Mackenzie Scott creates a foundation for further gifts, I wouldn't stop applauding her giving.

I guess. I assume it's separated in the report, because it's individual giving, not funds that have already been allocated for giving from a foundation.
