Yes! Each time you write a formula in Excel that is technically one line of code, assigning a value to a variable. Excel sheets are “Turing complete”, meaning you can use Excel formulas to do anything a generic computer could.

Haha thanks Hadi! It started out as a joke, but it got a bit out of hand. I'm quite a CompSci nerd and very deliberate with words. For those keeping score, Excel is Turing-complete even without VBA ;-)
