      Actually, the opposite is true: cost-adjusted salaries in Seattle, Denver, and Austin are higher than in SF. People are choosing to move for a better lifestyle: better schools, better housing, safer streets, lower costs, lower taxes.       That is a win-win. Everybody makes more (except poorly-run cities). The geo-independence of knowledge work will create a race-to-the-top among cities to deliver better civic services at lower cost.
