Sacramento beat Miami?

Yup, for now. But I expect Miami to make it onto the top 10 list when LinkedIn publishes data again in March, thanks to heroic recruiting by
@FrancisSuarez,@shervin, and others. - Show replies

@lexfridman Seattle seems even more popular than Austin. I'm not an US resident but considering your relocation discussions I found it interesting.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This assumes that the city listed on one’s LinkedIn profile accurately reflects where one lives. There are tons of people who work remotely (even from another state!) yet continue to list the city of their employer on their LinkedIn profile. Do not trust LinkedIn location data!
-
Seems like it would be the same between cities though. So this is showing relative difference. But yeah there could be a big chunk of Seattle reporting people who are living in cheaper parts of Washington for example

Let’s also talk about companies moving their workforce to non Bay Area locations to pay people less! The bourgeoisie always wins.

Actually, the opposite is true: cost-adjusted salaries in Seattle, Denver, and Austin are higher than in SF. People are choosing to move for a better lifestyle: better schools, better housing, safer streets, lower costs, lower taxes.
