        I vaguely remember a story like this concept 15 or 20 years ago. It’s not clear what the actual advantage is.

        Nope. This is like the modular phone. 99.999% of people do not care about the underlying tech. They just want to access their apps/the web at an affordable price. With cars, people just want to get from a-to-b in a quick and safe manner.

        Widgetsmith reveals the continuing desire for customization on phones. Car customization is already a gigantic industry. Question is if this is the correct layer to push ahead.
