Of course, it is easy to denounce what happens in another city. Real change in your own city is much much harder. I'm hopeful that *this time* is actually different, and that the senseless death of George Floyd can serve as a clarion call for systemic change.
As a director on the board of @axon_us, I've spent 10 yrs advising on products and services to help increase safety, transparency, and humanity in policing (like bodycams for transparency, or VR-based empathy training for police to deescalate confrontation without force)
All the tech in the world can't solve core cultural issues such as racism, which is why it's heartening for me to see so many @axon_us customers (police chiefs and police officers) taking a vocal stance against what happened.
