Now some questions for Scott! On designing the original iPhone: "We started with design. We didn't start with technology. And when we were building the iPhone, the biggest design decision we had was making it touch screen."pic.twitter.com/LiuBGRKoNx

Now some questions for Scott! On designing the original iPhone: "We started with design. We didn't start with technology. And when we were building the iPhone, the biggest design decision we had was making it touch screen."pic.twitter.com/LiuBGRKoNx
At the time, phones only had keyboards with small physical buttons. Scott's team wanted the keyboard to be all touch. "Design is about the visuals and the usability. We were a year in, and I paused ALL work on software, and we spent 100% of our time just working on keyboards."
They also decided to have just a single button, which later became an iconic iPhone feature. "We didn't want people to be afraid of using apps. So if people ever got confused or unsure, it was obvious which button to push to get back to the Home screen."pic.twitter.com/0EnPjBSYpZ
What will the NEXT phone look like? Nik and Reem, brother and sister from Calgary, Canada, are showing off their phone designs. On the left is a "hologram phone" and on the right is a cute unicorn phone!pic.twitter.com/4Jnu4zWhQp
A question for Scott, who is also a Tony-Award winning Broadway producer. "How has using creativity and studying liberal arts helped your tech career?"
@forstall: "The more versed you are in the liberal arts—the better read you are, the more plays you've see, etc.—the better equipped you are to build interesting products and understand more cultures. You can build products that will work better for people who are not like you."pic.twitter.com/sF5t8wBGp4

@hadip my daughter & I loved this today! Thank you for all you do to bring CS to kids. I can’t wait to try the Event dance with students next year. Couldn’t find the earrings on the site though.
Sorry the earrings are out of stock! Oops
That’s a good problem to have! I’ll be your first customer when they are back in stock.
