I don’t think it matters what you ask. Most students will choose “Less willing to pay”.

If colleges don’t lower tuition drastically, many students will take the semester off.

I’m a teacher -there’s more to do on the online platform than in person

I would believe that the setup time/cost is definitely higher. However, I would also argue that once set up it's easier to replicate for future semesters. Heck, a bunch of course material could simply be recorded and the interaction with the professor reduced.

Its the out of state tuition that bothers me when my student was forced to move out

Would be good to know what % of revenue comes from international students. Especially in top 25 colleges by attendance. If campuses don’t open, it will crush.

Not for nothing, but my has done her entire masters degree online through an accredited institution, Nebraska-Kearney, and is paying the same as if she was in person, minus on campus fees. So what's the issue?

The college system is hitting a brick wall. They aren't prepared for something like this, and that clearly shows. Why pay for education if you're just gonna be ending up learning by yourself for the most part anyways

Universities are less likely to lower tuition fee. They are more likely to present the non-requirement of room & board (which is a significant %) as lowering of fee.

1st year college student: It doesn’t matter if there’s more to do on the “online platform” I’d be paying the same to sit in front of a screen vs being in a room with others and having the PROPER resources I need. And who says you can’t do the same work online but in class?

What about the smartboards and computers entering classrooms the past 10 years? We should be giving those resources to students while still maintain face-to-face interactions with teachers & classmates So no, I would not be okay with paying more or the same amount for my tuition
