Social media posts that CBP is detaining Iranian-Americans and refusing their entry into the U.S. because of their country of origin are false. Reports that DHS/CBP has issued a related directive are also false.
This is a lie. My friend Mercedeh, a US citizen, and her daughters (US born citizens) were held for 6+ hours of questioning, in a room with 40 Iranian families being held for questioning, some for 10 hours. These are US citizens.
