In 1999, in my third year of college, because I couldn’t get one line of code to work properly the professor refused to assist me, this professor turned to me and asked me what I was doing there because I was a girl and couldn’t understand his class.

I don’t think the problem is that young women are aware of the statistic, but, as
@reshmasaujani has claimed, that we are brought up to shy away from challenges — that we should “get” things right away. Teaching girls resilience should be part of any CS course.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
