Seattle entrepreneurs: the lazy people that brought you Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia, T-Mobile, Zulily, McCaw Cellular, Teledesic, BlueKai, Valve Software, Boeing, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Costco, Alaska Airlines, Tableau, F5, Redfin, Payscale, Zillow, and other lackluster companies

That Sand Hill trope died - don’t know a single sand hill vc of any worth who wouldnt invest in Seattle today

I haven’t tried raising since 2014/15 - it was still a little bit of a thing then. Glad if it’s not anymore.

It’s not. Only challenge is some VCs won’t travel. At all. Anywhere. To Seattle or LA, NY, Austin, Chicago, etc.

Sure some VCs dont travel - but no good firm would turn down the right deal in Seattle (or LA, Boulder, NY, etc)
