I would love to explore the possibility of it counting as high school language credit 
At @codeorg we generally advise against that. First and foremost because CS isn't a "foreign language", esp when you consider that CS includes cybersecurity, data analysis, networking. (Second reason is downstream impact on issues like teacher certification)

Awesome to know - thanks for insight! We are trying to be creative bc we were able to get an intro CS class on the books as a math course in our building, but are having issues expanding since we’d be losing “math” teachers to teach the other “CS” courses... suggestions?
