      Is there a (micro)credential? (Maybe for @BadgrTeam or @credengine) Is there a way to earn CEC or PDC credits for learning to become a #K12CS Instructor?

      ... National or state-level online courses could help make CS education education more widely available. @edXOnline (@OpenEdX) is an open platform for MOOCs (massive open online courses) with an open API and support for granting credentials

      Yes. Whether edX, coursera, udacity, any of them could theoretically host a teacher-prep course in CS education. But to my knowledge none do (yet). They host courses professors create into MOOCs. There are scant few univ courses in CSEd in the first place.

          Note that learning CS (readily available in MOOCs) isn’t the same as learning to teach it. Pedagogical practices are a big deal, especially to balance equity in the classroom
