Originally, Jeannette sold Computational Thinking as "If you learn CT, you learn things that you can apply in your everyday life." I don't think many of us believe that anymore.

@yadavaman it’s easier to “sell” CT into existing curriculum frameworks, and that’s what many countries are doing (eg Japan). But a problem of teaching CS only as a tool to learn math or science is you teach CT but lose much of the creativity and fun.
The beauty of computer science is it is analytic AND creative; it is foundational AND vocational. imho teaching it as only one without the other misses the full picture.

I agree! At the elementary level, I see CT as just the first step in scaffolding teachers to bring CS into their classrooms.
