Agree. I haven’t coded for years. But I learned in HS and majored in comp sci in college and the basics helped me get where I am today. Yep! Fond memories - floppy disks, coursework on coding, SQL DBs, GUIs, networking, infosec, sim & modeling, AI ... a lot of my knowledge set is outdated now but concepts never go out of style. Paid my own way thru school doing DB analysis (ERDs & metadata streamlining) at FDIC!
