New today
A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

Yay! A positive step is well welcomed, even if it took ages.

Still a complete failure though as it doesn't go far enough to protect creators and still hands the power to the criminals who abuse the copyright system both Auto and manual.
-
But without the ability to make money off false claims, the criminals will move on to something else.

Hell yeah,
@ThatMumboJumbo had all his videos struck by the nitwits at warner chappel for a couple second sample used in a song he had the rights to use. I hope WC gets flushed.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Ethan, penny for your thoughts as a big creator? My charity @MusicCureCancer puts up our concerts after the show. The artist gave permission to put it up but it was auto claimed & then confirmed by
#Sony. Whatcha think are the chances of winning or a copyright strike if I appeal? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
