why are people crying fair use to this this isn't about copyright. its about literally putting content that is banned back onto the platform. i dont necessarily agree with it, but the reasoning behind it isn't a mystery.

It's censorship. It sets a very dangerous precedent as to how social media giants may choose to act in the future.

Private Corps have the right to censor whatever they see fit. Is it right? Nope. But since legislation allows it, no one can harm them.

These are publicly traded companies. If this becomes a trend, it will destroy their valuation and potentially bring on massive government regulation. Facebook's drop in valuation is just the beginning of this trend.

Did this really happen??? I’m willing to give them benefit of the doubt on Censorship on AJ because he broke Community Guidelines that would get the rest of us booted... But this? This makes me reconsider my TRUST in them...

While I can appreciate where someone might feel that way... you may not understand or appreciate where I derived my trust to begin with... Having been to HQ and seeing up close the boots on the ground ppl and how they feel about creators is diff than just uploading everyday

At HQ I feel like it's a bunch of people selecting by hand which channels they want to succeed and which channels they want to screw. I know for a fact if you know someone well at HQ, they can click a few buttons and your channel explodes.

And what evidence do you have? Not anecdotal evidence, hard facts... because I haven’t seen that happen even once, Also I’ve done coding... y’-all are acting like it’s as easy as flipping a switch... that’s really naive...

Look up the story where a YouTuber and a few people at Apple knew someone at YouTube HQ and they had a video trending #1 of a review of an iPhone that wasn't even out yet. Not saying they are doing it to that scale but it's totally obvious they pick & choose who is recomm. more.
