Recently thinking about effective sibling relationships wrt startups, e.g. @kimbal/@elonmusk & @patrickc/@collision. A natural, fully-trustworthy partner who’s easy to sync with = massive force multiplier, w/ compounding effects from childhood on?

My favorite explanation: There are plenty of successful pairs of identical twins. We just don't notice them because they share one identity a la *The Prestige*.

Before we get to the theory stage shouldn’t we establish whether there’s anything to be explained? We’d expect what, ~15 identical twins per thousand successful people? Maybe they’re all out there, driving matching Teslas.

Hence why I remarked that this seems to fit a previous theory not developed for this particular occasion. Maybe there's a way to test the broader theory. That's one way we can end up knowing the explanation of what seemed like underconstraining evidence.
