  2. There's definitely a lot more that could be said about this than retreading basic thermodynamics loopholes. For example, lipofuscin and the SENS program: crud builds up in all cells as they age; why are we not buried under it after billions of years? Specialist bacteria!

  3. I know better now of course, but it still feels like a small miracle every time perfectly clean water comes out of a faucet to clean dirty things, or perfectly clean paper towels absorb cat throw-up. What are all the methods which reverse dirtropy to create or keep things clean?

  4. Question: is there any good article or essay about all the ways things can get... 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯? As a kid tracking in mud, I was puzzled by the laws of cleanliness: dirtiness can be moved but not destroyed; all things only get dirtier; things do not spontaneously clean themselves.

At a loss of ~0.35, starting to get some interesting samples, eg / (improves substantially ~0m55s, 2m15s mark, impressively maintains themes throughout). Colab: Current training log:

help I finally got my cat to pay attention to videos on my monitor and now he's addicted to videos-for-cats on YouTube and won't stop sitting in front of my monitor waiting for the birds to come back

In 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘴, cats unzip their fursuits and another cat steps out. This has raised questions about how the 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘴verse works ('are these cats nude if they have no clothes?') but this overlooks the main import: this proves reproduction in the 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘴verse is by purformationism!

Even if it's not great, you still make progress in a story, and learn. And that's with a model which still screws up constantly, and yet, still lots of fun. Where does this go over the next decade? IF and D&D people should be really interested in this question.

is a fun story. Anyway, we have 537k MIDI files (~9GB) which we're converting to ABC (text is just easier to work with and it's only somewhat lossy). Our TPU swarms hunger. Should be interesting to compare with 's MuseNet...

Some people say GPT-2 doesn't scale. They don't understand: the only thing that matters is—BRUTE STRENGTH! They want Reformer (they're probably beta orbiters). But TPUs have—BRUTE STRENGTH! TPUs run GPT-2-117M with 30,000 context windows for MIDI generation—with BRUTE STRENGTH!

Shower thought: terminal velocity of a car is 100-200mph; sports car tires can handle <200mph easily. So, with enough heat shielding and a tall curved ramp and good aim, you could drive a car from orbit to ground.
