Most mainstream capeshit fans aren’t actually reading the comics to any real extent, combine with the fact the so many series start and stop so often there are dozens of # 1 issues littered about I doubt it’ll effect the standing in the eyes of the normies
its still just not good optics. it doesnt sell the idea that this character is new and fresh and popular and exciting.
