    hint of the day: You can make your own reverb/echo effect by averaging each sample in a sound with an earlier one. Make your own "echo effect" block that parameterizes the delay in relation to the sample rate and volume decay in Snap!

    I second that recommendation. I particularly like how Mark shares reflections on his own teaching and how his view of CS Education has changed over the years. There's a level of honesty in many of the posts that is really refreshing

    "When I look at computing education interventions, I see a lot informed by Dewey." --- I'd guess this is because the CER community is so international. My experience of🇨🇦 schools of ed is we still have that focus on progressive ed & I'm always stunned at how Thorndikey the US is.

    Also might be of interest: from reading The Teacher Wars (another great history of education in the US!), I learnt the cold war & McCarthyism played an important part in pushing the progressive teachers & education reseachers out of the area --- further solidifying the trend. :\
