    👏🏻 Attitudes are changing, pragmatism improving, but we still lack the political coherence & consistency to make the most of European integration. The recovery fund + own resources are Nr 1 test for Europe’s politicians to put their money where their mouth is !

    Politics needs to protect the weakest, and all too often those are still women. 10 years on the backlash against the Istanbul Convention is a real threat, from Turkey to Poland. We need to stick with it & turn it into EU law to STOP women suffering !

    EU is making up 👇🏻 for its lousy start in handling Covid-vaccination... but has yet to draw the political conclusions: We need a real European Health Union, able to tackle the next crisis better from day 1 !

    🇪🇺 vaccination is progressing well. Now we prepare the next stage in our response: ➡️giving booster shots ➡️dealing with possible escape variants ➡️allowing for vaccination of children & teenagers

    Fully agree : needs an institutional response EU tried to solve problems by creating new posts for everything. But democratic politics needs to be ‘readable’ & accountable. A real Union needs a real president, responsible towards Parliament & people !
