Here’s the thing: I’m not even an NRA member or a guns person. But if a company that takes lots of my $ chooses to signal & preen in the culture war & make clear that it doesn’t care about alienating me, I need to rethink my business w/ them. @united

I *hate* the politicization of everything & usually eschew boycotts. I honestly don’t know what to do bc I don’t want to join/escalate the outrage wars. But I also worry about sending a signal to corporate America that caving to the organized Left has no consequences.

So I guess I’m going to just sit here and wait to see if
@AmericanAir joins the culture war pile-on & then reevaluate my decades-long relationship with@United. I don’t want flying to feel like a political statement. United has put me in a gross spot & I resent it.Show this thread

So believe it or not only 3% of the services rendered by Planned Parenthood are abortions. Most of what they do are STD/SDI checks and women's health. Cutting planned parenthood funding doesn't save babies, it mostly just hurts poor women

You automatically lose your argument when you cite the heritage foundation. They are a right wing Washington think tank with a clear bias in their reports. Your source is not a primary source. You may use planned parenthood, AMA, ACOG, AAFP, or any medical citation you wish.

It’s really ignorant for any CEO to cave to political pressure when their business will be affected financially. No matter which side of the political spectrum you endorse. I’m not an advocate for the NRA but I’m a strong supporter of protecting my RIGHTS!
-
But their business is already affected financially by people who disagree with their implicit or in this case explicit relationship they have with a political entity (the NRA) if people want to boycott or divest that is their decision, CEO is probably making financial choice
-
It is an extremely bad and sad day when an organization made up of people who voluntarily join to protect a right that was specifically included by our country's founders in the Constitution for the protection of its citizenry are considered political.
-
The NRA supports Safety, Conservation, Training, and Hunting. Learn History and see what happens when Governments take away people's rights to protect themselves from Tyranny.
-
Our founding fathers were wise beyond their years. They foresaw a possibility of tyranny in R own Government N instilled protections that would prevent that from happening. I’m not an advocate 4 the NRA but I’m a strong advocate for our individual freedoms. They must B protected!
