Maybe the politicians & their echo chambers who stridently predicted the tax law would be an "armageddon"-style "end of the world" & a "massive attack on the middle class" should pay a political & reputational price. They lied, then BS narratives died:

Bigger paychecks are only half of the equation. Massive increase in deficits and debt are the other part. And reports over the last couple days are that they are projected to grow even quicker and in greater numbers than predicted by the Rs themselves.
