Yes, it takes away from the immersion, but there's scarily a game that allows one to do it.

That’s gonna be a yikes from me. I couldn’t care less but if you’re really want to kill some virtual children there might be something wrong with ya

Why? It's not about killing virtual children, it's about them being killable, specially when in reality they are the most vulnerable. As one example, how more motivated are you to stop an in game robbery if the kids can die in it? How more careful will you be if FF affects them?

I don’t care if there’s an option to kill them or not but if you’re mad you can’t kill virtual children, there might be something a bit off with you

But players do care. It's like saying that "if you are mad that you can play essentially a cyborg in a WWII game that sells itself on historical authenticity then it means you are an ableist".

There’s a difference between a game going for historical accuracy and a game having a story take place in a time period

Yes, CoD goes for historical authenticity, Accuracy is different from authenticity. No period novel is ever accurate, they can only be authentic. Rewriting period holmes with a cellphone is inauthentic and inaccurate, sherlock holmes is by rule inaccurate.
