If anyone needs help. The Rio Grande Valley is a 4-county region (Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, Willacy) at the southern tip of Texas. Starr & Willacy are sparsely-populated, rural. The urban areas are the McAllen metro & Brownsville. Nicknames include "the valley" and "the RGV."

There's nearly 1.5M people there, so to call the whole region "rural" is wrong. Parts of it are. And it grew very quickly so it was more rural/agricultural in fairly recent memory.

People also sometimes say things such as "puro pinche 956 a la verga cuh." Unfortunately, no one can say what this means
