Thought about it since a while, I was at first against it, but then I realized that having an option to do this if people wanted to isn't probably a bad thing. If you wish to buy me a coffee because you like what I'm doing or idk you can donate at me here

Wrote a Linux script to easily compare file system changes in Windows 10 between two different builds. It downloads the builds from Microsoft, indexes them, commits that data to separate git branches, starts a merge, and opens . This is 19546 vs. 19555:

Since I had a spare Surface RT, I figured I'd do a little bit of upgrading now that a compatible version of Windows 10 for 32-bit ARM has leaked 👀 This is probably the last OS this is ever going to see, so why not have a little fun? 😄

So there's a one second step basically enabling test signing by nuking policies and secureboot, and then we switch to the new bug for the rest

So I rewrote part of the unlock process to use the older bug only for writing uefi vars, and we exclusively use the new bug for everything else (more stable + faster overall)

It does that because it writes a flag saying, flash ended properly at the end and Qualcomm services cache the variables in memory and then flush them back on reboot. This is not wanted if we want to write for example SecureBoot disabled in there.

I was planning on using the new bug in WPinternals fully but I got an issue with using it as a whole in the app, FlashApp has code to restore the UEFI_BS_NV partition which contains the UEFI variables when rebooting after a flash, it's a bit accidental though

There's a bug in Lumia FlashApp where when the bug occurs it won't verify the signature of the catalog that signed the FFU hash table, leading to the ability to custom flash data to the device

Found a new bug on Lumia's flashing application and it's beautiful to watch it happen

1/7 Did you ever need to run a piece of C# code on Windows 3.11? Me neither, but I did it anyway. A thread.

Unless a fix is done by Microsoft, MSM8994/2 devices (like the 950 and 950 XL) won't ever run anything newer than build 19041 (20H1/vibranium)

We also can't load HAL extensions because we need ACPI tables to be read and the nodes to be created to load the timer HAL extensions. Reverting hal.dll to a previous version is out of the question because functionality has been moved to the kernel.

A change made to HALs in Manganese builds (19536+) seems to have broken some timers on MSM8994/8992 platforms, making the clock run very slowly. This has the result of the watch dog bugcheck occurring on boot because ACPI.sys didn't load in time.

There's a lot of cleverly hidden content in many old Windows betas. If you happened to be a Windows beta tester in the 90s or early 2000s and kept the media you received, it would be great if you could revisit your collection and perhaps share it with the internet if that's okay.

A rather undocumented thing: The Snapdragon 800 Modem processor seems to report that it can support up to 13 sims. Yes 13 sims
