This is a sodalite rock. It is sometimes referred to as a “poor mans lapis” due to its similar colour, but less expensive. Most sodalite will fluoresce orange under U.V light.pic.twitter.com/YiCevrBB7Q

It does. The question being asked was whether it glowed in natural light and I explained that it doesn’t as that would be a different description

When I was a kid the best room in the entire Nay Aug Museum (Scranton PA) was the gems room where you pushed a button, the bright lights were replaced by UV light, and the shelves glowed.
