Do you know if those videos are in real time (besides the video being accelerated x3 for twitter)? It seems like this would take forever at that speed to actually curl a cell with its millions of kilometers of DNA.

None of it is real time since it’s x3 those parts that say real time are still x3 as the video was incredibly long

Cool, but there's a trade off between using animation to explain, or accurately visualise. This is an attempt to do both and achieving neither. The molecular wobbling makes this otherwise excellent animation hard to follow. There is a reason why we use static images in education
