You could simply add the renewable energy to Australia's grid, which is desperately needed. Or you transfer the energy to hydrogen, wildly inefficiently, ship it around the world with loss at every transfer all the way through the transportation chains and the loss at use.

Two things: 1. JCB already manufacture many electric plant vehicles and the industry love 'em because you don't have to worry about exhaust inside confined building areas. 2. Yes H2 from Australia is stupid. But the diesel it is replacing comes from *everywhere.* Net gain.
