How very predictable - these awful private enterprise people. I have used Virgin trains West Coast for as long as they have had the franchise and they have been unerringly brilliant.

Unfair and not accurate. These trains are fast and efficient. The staff are polite and helpful. In years I travelling to Penrith from London I have never encountered this smell you refer to. And Virgin transformed the journey by investing in the Pendolinos.
