Then he wasn’t fit for the job. Based on that criteria, he wouldn’t stop anybody as he could be seen to be sexist, ageist, racist etc. Unfortunately for him and his victims, his misjudgement which normally would’ve gone unnoticed, ended up allowing a terrorist to deliver his bomb

It would be a rare 18 year old that would have the maturity, judgement and the training to make a good decision and follow through on it in those circumstances.

None of the security team at the Arena that night appear to have covered themselves in glory. Evidence so far indicates next to nothing training and that no manager checked on whether training was enacted.

I absolutely agree. He was a kid. Still is. And frankly, he said what he thought. He was NOT trained. These media people and lawyers are bullying kids. The stewards were not trained what so ever. He reacted as a kid would do not a trained guard. As a Mancunian I am sickened!
