How about creating awareness when that fact is deliberately omitted in the "humanitarian" updates by Guardian and other Western Governments' mouthpieces..

It’s only creating awareness if people are generally unaware, virtually everyone is aware of an accepts the fact that much of what is driving the migrant crisis is caused by western governments. You’re not enlightening anyone or contributing solutions.

I think that's where you're wrong. Not everyone is aware of & accepts this. Particularly in Syria. It seems that people need reminding that western media of the 'Liberal' right cheerleads for regime change under guise of humanitarian intervention, to enable neocolonial expansion

India and Hong Kong are toeing the line... In Addition, Washington is known to attack (economically and militarily) weak defenceless countries, not in the category of Nuclear armed India or Chinese governed Hong Kong!!!

Imagine if the first boats had been turned back. Very few would have drowned. It's liberal attitudes that have caused the number of drowned migrants to rise to a disgusting level.

These people are fleeing warfare, liberal attitudes wouldn't have made a difference.

Fleeing In boats across oceans because they know the West is too soft and will let them in. They risk drowning because they know they won't be turned back. Result is many deaths.

If they stay at home they'll end up killed by the wests bombing anyway. So it's a lose-lose situation for many refugees.

Exactly. What are they supposed to do? If we had a refugee vetting channel opened up to everyone fleeing war, we would have avoided dinghy boats travelling across ocean to try and get into Europe off the radar.

No the west are bombing Syrian on a stupid regular basis. Every week a western country is hitting Syria for no reason. It's not harming Isis it's just killing innocent people.
