I thought about placing Doom higher, but much of my enjoyment has been from various WADs. Also, I somehow forgot to lost Link’s Awakening.

I used to make WADs - it was my first experience in making stuff for games

Now I’m curious which ones you made. I did toy around with Civilization II map and scenario making, but never released them anywhere.

Ah, that’s too bad. I’ve only played a handful, and relatively recently: Scythe, Lunatic, Alien Vendetta, and currently the Japanese Community Project.

The Alien TC was fascinating to me. I showed me how "thin" the layer of "authenticity" in a game is - it's about cleaning up the stitches so things work together, an aesthetic question.
